Who We Are

Gateway Global American Youth and Business Alliance Academies Inc. (AYBAA) is an education management and workforce development organization.  We specialize in STEM based apprenticeship education and workforce development solutions aimed at entry level tech positions that have the potential to progress into management and beyond. We believe that the answers to business workforce issues have solutions that begin with K-12. 

Mission

The mission of Gateway Global AYBAA is to keep U.S. companies globally competitive by supplying them with a skilled and educated workforce in now and next generation technologies for the 21st century. 

Goal

 Our goal is to produce a viable, strong and globally aware workforce that will understand individual economic and social contributions to the bigger picture. By doing so we will cultivate generations of leaders and individual contributors with high aspirations and inspired to make the global community a better place for all by beginning with the improvement of their local community.

Vision

Our vision is to become the largest education and workforce development network across the U.S. producing a viable, strong and globally competent workforce that contributes to fields related to International Relations and Critical Infrastructure. 

Our STANDARD

Our standard is excellence. We expect that by enhancing students’ learning environment to one of professionalism, global thinking, and innovative workforce education that we are creating future leaders and game changers.  To change the world, one must first change his/her perspective of the world and their place in it. 

LEADERSHIP

Zekita Armstrong Asuquo

Zekita Armstrong Asuquo is the President of Gateway Global American Youth & Business Alliance Academies Inc.
Zekita has held position of Diversity Manager with MBE certified IT recruiting and consulting firm with more than 300+ billable consultants in 35 states and $70M in annual diversity spend where she successfully helped to build the personal brands of leadership through media outreach, community partners, events, and interview opportunities. She has also served as Director of Social Enterprise for a nonprofit women's recovery facility helping to build its social enterprise product line, managed business operations, and creating the organization's workforce preparedness program "Adjusting to Work" for recovering women re-entering the workforce. 

Zekita has been featured and published by countless newspapers and some of the most influential online publications across the U.S and abroad including ABC World News and TheRoot. She has been interviewed by Christianity Today Magazine, St. Louis Magazine, CNN commentator and radio show host, Roland S.Martin, The Intersection with award winning journalist, Rebecca Roberts, the Charlie Brennan Show on CBS/KMOX Radio, The Bernie Hayes Show, and many more.

She has served on the planning committee of the University of Missouri St. Louis (UMSL) Breast Cancer Survivor Project, a former member of the board of directors for CWAH, and served as the 2012 General Chair of the Annual Circle of Support Gala and Jazz Concert. Zekita is also a former member of the Harris Stowe State University Workforce Preparedness Advisory Council (WPAC) for students and alumni. She currently serves as chair of Gateway Global AYBA & ALCES board, a member of Opera Theatre St. Louis' Engagement and Inclusion committee and is past President of St. Louis chapter of National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO).

​Zekita currently lives in St. Louis, MO with her two youngest daughters Yanahni and Eno.
